National Team Supports Puttinu Cares Ahead of Good Friday Marathon

The Malta National Football Team recently concluded their crucial preparation ahead of their upcoming encounter. On the eve of this match, the squad and the Malta Football Association highlighted their commitment to social responsibility through several key charitable gestures.
Support for Puttinu Cares
Following their final MD-1 training session, the players took time to support Puttinu Cares, a foundation that assists families of children undergoing serious medical treatment.
- Donation: The squad presented a €1,000 donation to four-year-old Amy, who attended the session as a representative for the foundation.
- Purpose: This contribution is part of the national build-up to the Puttinu Cares Marathon, an annual event held every Good Friday to unite the nation in support of families in need.
Collaboration with the Armed Forces of Malta
In a separate show of solidarity, the national team partnered with the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) for a unique charitable initiative:
- Signed Jersey Raffle: The players presented a national team jersey signed by the entire squad.
- Charitable Impact: This item will be raffled within the AFM, with all proceeds directed toward charitable causes.
These initiatives serve as a powerful reminder of the team’s role beyond the pitch, using their platform to inspire and provide hope to the Maltese community.
