Antoine Semenyo marked his Manchester City debut in style, scoring in a stunning 10-1 FA Cup victory over Exeter at the Etihad Stadium.

The striker, who joined City from Bournemouth for £65 million ($87 million) just a day earlier, was among a host of scorers as the Premier League leaders tore through League One opposition. Remarkably, Erling Haaland started the match but did not find the net before being substituted at half-time.

Rico Lewis grabbed a brace, while Max Alleyne, Rodri, Tijjani Reijnders, Nico O’Riley, and Ryan McAidoo also scored for City. Exeter contributed two own goals to City’s tally, highlighting the one-sided nature of the contest.

In other FA Cup action, Sunderland advanced past Everton on penalties following a 1-1 draw. Goalkeeper Robin Roefs saved all three of Everton’s spot-kicks to send the Black Cats into the fourth round.

Wolves extended their unbeaten streak to four games with a 6-1 demolition of Shrewsbury, powered by a Jørgen Strand Larsen hat-trick.

Fulham needed a late surge to defeat Middlesbrough 3-1 at Craven Cottage, while Burnley made light work of Millwall in a 5-1 win. Brentford also progressed comfortably, beating Sheffield Wednesday 2-0.

Elsewhere, Tottenham host in-form Aston Villa in a crucial clash for manager Thomas Frank, who is under pressure to secure a victory. Liam Rosenior will take charge of Chelsea for the first time as they travel to Charlton in the evening kick-off at 21:00 CET.
