The Maltese delegation at the 88th AIPS Congress, currently being held in Switzerland, is composed of Antvin Monseigneur (President), Joanna Camilleri (General Secretary), Charles Camenzuli (outgoing AIPS Europe President), and Sandro Micallef, Honorary President, who is attending as an observer.

Ahead of the official opening of the congress, sports journalists from around the world were given the opportunity to visit the FIFA headquarters. During the visit, delegates received a comprehensive briefing on the ongoing preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The session provided valuable insights into the planning and organisational efforts behind one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, highlighting key developments and logistical considerations as preparations continue to gather pace.
