The Malta National Darts Team is currently in action in Hungary, taking part in the prestigious Hungarian Masters tournament.

During Friday’s matches, Albert Scerri delivered a strong performance, advancing to the last 32 after two impressive victories — defeating Darnell McRory 5–1 and Andrea Rockstad 5–3. However, his run came to an end in the next round after a 5–0 defeat to Kristian De Boer.

Meanwhile, Norbert Attard was eliminated in the last 128 following a 5–1 loss to Major Nandor.

In the youth category, Thomas Sammut represented Malta in the group stage, where he started with a 4–1 win over Balazs Bagi but later lost 1–4 to Shane Porter. Sammut also featured in the Open Youth Finals, where he was narrowly beaten 2–4 by Jack Caulfield.

Gordie Zammit experienced a demanding series of matches, including a tight 4–3 victory over Timothy Welcome, but was later edged out 3–4 by both Kempton Duval and Shay Feeney. His teammate Lucas Zammit also faced tough opposition, losing 0–4 to Benjamin Stassen and Nicardo Pieper.

Despite the mixed results, the Maltese players gained valuable international experience as they continue to build towards future competitions on the European darts circuit.
