Malta produced an excellent display to defeat South Africa 14-8 in their latest Women’s Water Polo World Cup Division Two match.

The Maltese side controlled the encounter with a strong all-round performance, combining solid defending with clinical finishing to secure a deserved victory.

Elena Borg led the scoring for Malta with four goals, while Chloe Amato added three. Ella Miceli and Marie Rose Tully both scored twice, with further goals coming from Martha Perici Ferrante, Jensine Bugelli and Francesca Paolella.

Malta’s disciplined performance allowed them to maintain their advantage throughout the match and finish strongly against the South Africans.
