Qormi Daikin’s Luke Bajada has been awarded the Hockey Player of the Year title for the 2024/25 season, capping off a remarkable campaign for both player and club.

The 20-year-old forward was a standout performer throughout the season, playing a decisive role in Qormi Daikin’s dominance on the local scene as they swept every major domestic competition, including the national championship.

Bajada’s sharp finishing and ability to deliver in crucial moments were instrumental to his team’s success. His impact extended beyond the local league, as he also played a key role in Qormi’s triumph at the EuroHockey Club Challenge Division 3 in Oslo, Norway, further cementing his reputation as one of Malta’s brightest hockey talents.

A homegrown product, Bajada has been part of the Qormi Daikin setup since his early youth and has also established himself as a regular member of the Malta national hockey team.

The award was presented by Malta Hockey Association President David Agius, who praised Bajada’s outstanding performances and contribution to the sport.
