Luka Dončić ruled out of Lakers’ game against Warriors with injury

Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Dončić will miss Saturday’s NBA clash against the Golden State Warriors after suffering a hamstring strain, with no timetable yet set for his return.
The injury occurred late in the second quarter of Thursday’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers, when Dončić turned awkwardly following contact with a defender and immediately grabbed the back of his left thigh. He walked carefully to the sideline before heading to the locker room, visibly frustrated.
After the game, Lakers head coach JJ Redick confirmed that Dončić would undergo an MRI scan. While Redick initially expressed hope that the injury was not serious, the team later listed the All-Star guard as “out” for Saturday’s matchup.
Dončić has been in outstanding form this season, leading the NBA in scoring at 33.4 points per game and ranking second in assists with 8.7.
His absence is a major blow for the Lakers, who rely heavily on his playmaking and scoring.
“We need him,” guard Austin Reaves said. “He’s our best player and the engine behind so much of what we do. Hopefully, we get some good news.”
