Jonathan David registered a goal and an assist as Juventus cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore, extending their strong run of form with an eighth win in their last 10 matches across all competitions.

After being held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Lecce in their previous outing, Juventus responded with an assured first-half performance as they continued their push for a top-four finish in Serie A.

Sassuolo threatened early when Kristian Thorstvedt dragged a shot wide inside the opening five minutes, but that proved to be a rare moment of promise for the hosts. From then on, Juventus took firm control.

Kenan Yıldız was at the heart of the visitors’ attacking play, repeatedly testing goalkeeper Arijanet Muric, who was forced into four saves before the break—three of them to deny powerful efforts.

Juventus eventually made their dominance count just before half-time, albeit in fortunate fashion, as Tarik Muharemović inadvertently headed Pierre Kalulu’s cross into his own net.

The pattern of the match remained unchanged after the restart, with Juventus dictating play against a Sassuolo side that arrived without a win in their previous four matches.

Khéphren Thuram went close from a tight angle before David, who has endured a difficult start to life in Turin following his summer move, stepped into the spotlight.

The Canada international first turned provider, slipping in Fabio Miretti, who drove forward and finished confidently into the corner. Moments later, David pressed high to regain possession, rounded Muric, and calmly slotted home to score his first Serie A goal since the opening day of the season.

That strike extinguished any lingering hopes of a Sassuolo comeback, as the hosts struggled to pose a threat throughout. The defeat leaves them with just one win from their last seven home matches, although they remain comfortably mid-table in their first season back in the top flight.

Juventus, meanwhile, climb into fourth place and will look to maintain momentum with upcoming fixtures against bottom-half sides Cremonese and Cagliari, confident of extending their impressive recent form.
