Juventus has reported a net loss of €2.5 million for the first half of its fiscal year, a sharp reversal from the €16.9 million profit recorded during the same period a year earlier, as broadcasting and matchday revenues declined.

The Italian club said on Monday that it expects both its net result and operating cash flow to remain negative for the full fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. Juventus’ financial year runs from July 1 to June 30.

Revenue at the Turin-based side fell by nearly 11% to €260.6 million between July and December, weighed down by softer broadcasting and ticket sales as well as reduced income from players’ registration rights. Improved sponsorship revenue provided only partial relief against the broader decline.

After dominating Italian football for much of the 2010s, Juventus has faced significant challenges in recent years. The club was embroiled in an accounting scandal related to player transfers and salary payments, which ultimately led to a ban from European competitions for the 2023/24 season.

In October, Juventus appointed former Italy national team manager Luciano Spalletti as head coach through to the end of the season, as the club looks to stabilise both its performances on the pitch and its financial footing.
