Forest escape relegation zone after frustrating stalemate with Fulham

Nottingham Forest saw their winless run in the Premier League stretch to seven matches (D4, L3) after being held to a 0-0 draw by Fulham at the City Ground. The result leaves Forest outside the relegation zone only on goal difference.
Fulham had not conceded within the opening 15 minutes of a league match this season before kick-off, and although they maintained that record, it was nearly broken when Elliot Anderson cut inside dangerously but sent his shot wide of the target.
The visitors created the best chance of the first half when two Nigerian teammates combined. Alex Iwobi delivered a free-kick that found Calvin Bassey, but Matz Sels produced a fine save to deny his close-range header.
Forest also had opportunities before the break through Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolás Domínguez, yet Bernd Leno reacted well to stop both efforts from outside the box. As a result, the City Ground witnessed a level score at half-time for the fifth consecutive league match.
With so much at stake, Nottingham Forest pushed hard to find a breakthrough after the restart, and Ola Aina came agonisingly close with a stunning strike that rattled the crossbar.
The City Ground was desperate for a hero, and for a brief moment it appeared one had emerged when Dan Ndoye found the back of the net. After slipping away from his marker, he calmly placed the ball into the corner to spark celebrations among the home fans.
However, those celebrations were short-lived, as a swift review ruled the goal out for a marginal offside decision.
