Eriksen urges patience as he backs Frank to turn Spurs around

Christian Eriksen has voiced his support for Thomas Frank, expressing hope that the Tottenham head coach is given the time he needs to turn around the club’s faltering fortunes.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Eriksen — who previously played under Frank at Brentford and also enjoyed a spell at Spurs — offered perspective on the challenges facing the Danish coach in north London.
Asked whether he was surprised by Frank’s struggles, Eriksen admitted the situation was complex. “Yes and no,” he said. “The pressure is much bigger. Brentford, for a long time, was a very safe place.”
Eriksen explained that Frank is now operating in a vastly different environment, with heightened scrutiny and far greater expectations.
“He’s in a new place now, with new eyes on him, and people want something different,” Eriksen added. “I hope he gets the time to change things and show what he can do. But football moves quickly — there are new ideas one week, and then another idea the next.”
Frank’s position has come under increasing threat following Tottenham’s home defeat to West Ham on Saturday, with reports suggesting the club’s hierarchy has already begun discussing alternative options after board-level talks.
With Borussia Dortmund visiting next — a side that has scored in all 14 of their away matches this season — Frank faces a daunting task on Tuesday night. The match could prove pivotal, and potentially decisive, as he looks to ease the pressure and secure his future at Tottenham.
