Dream debut for Zammit as Birkirkara sweep past Tarxien

Paul Zammit could not have asked for a better start to his third spell at Birkirkara as the Stripes cruised to an emphatic 5–0 victory over Tarxien Rainbows.
Appointed only days after Gianluca Festa stepped down following the defeat to Marsaxlokk, Zammit wasted no time in stamping his authority on the team, guiding Birkirkara to a composed and dominant display against the league’s bottom side.
The Stripes made the ideal start and broke the deadlock after just 15 minutes when Kemar Reid found the net, settling any early nerves and allowing Birkirkara to take control of proceedings.
With confidence flowing, Birkirkara continued to press forward, while Tarxien attempted to respond through Claudio Henrique, whose powerful effort was well dealt with by goalkeeper Grech. Achaempong also threatened for the Rainbows, but Miguel Spiteri was equal to his attempt.
Birkirkara doubled their advantage shortly after the half-hour mark when Ronovan Bispo unleashed a powerful strike to make it 2–0. The match was effectively put to bed five minutes before the interval as Bayo Mben surged down the right flank and unleashed a diagonal shot that flew past Spiteri.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Birkirkara firmly in control. On 77 minutes, Mben turned provider, releasing Aleandro Garzia, who advanced confidently before finishing past Spiteri for the fourth goal.
Garzia completed the rout nine minutes from time, once again driving forward with purpose before firing home to seal a comprehensive 5–0 success.
The convincing win marked a statement start for Zammit and offered fresh optimism for the Stripes as they look to climb up the standings.
