Leeds United may have taken a significant step away from relegation danger with Friday’s 3-1 Premier League victory over Burnley, but manager Daniel Farke has stressed that the job is far from finished.

The win at Elland Road lifted Leeds to 43 points—a total that has historically been enough to guarantee survival in the Premier League.

Despite that, Farke is keen for his side to maintain their momentum and focus on winning their remaining three matches.

“Even if we are mathematically safe before the final matchday, we will continue to fight for every point,” he said.

“We want to finish the season as strongly as possible and give our supporters more to celebrate in the final games.”

Farke described the win over Burnley—secured through goals from Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin—as a “massive” lift for his side.

“The mentality, work rate, unity and spirit in the dressing room are second to none,” he said. “I’m really proud of what the players are producing right now.”

Having previously highlighted that 12 points were still up for grabs, Farke added that his team now want to build on this result.

“We spoke about 12 points to play for before the game, and now we’ve taken the first three, we want to go after the remaining nine,” he said.

Stach, who opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a low strike from distance, also received special praise from his manager.

“He consistently puts in incredible work in terms of distance covered, contributes with set-pieces, goals and assists,” Farke said of his 27-year-old compatriot.

“He has a top mentality, is strong in duels, and is enjoying an outstanding season. He fully deserves the recognition—he’s one of our key players and among the best at this level.”
