Crystal Palace seal £35m deal for Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson in a club-record transfer worth £35 million.
The Wales international has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract and could make his debut in Palace’s Premier League clash against Newcastle on Sunday.
“I’m really excited and really happy,” Johnson, 24, told the club’s official website. “Crystal Palace are such a great club — one I’ve always admired.
“It’s a great time for me to be here and to join the journey this club is on. I’m super excited.”
Johnson joined Tottenham from Nottingham Forest in 2023 for £47.5m and enjoyed a productive spell in north London, finishing last season as the club’s top scorer with 18 goals.
He also scored the winning goal in May’s Europa League final against Manchester United, ending Spurs’ 17-year wait for major silverware.
Despite that success, Johnson has found regular first-team opportunities limited this season under Thomas Frank, making just six Premier League starts.
At international level, the 24-year-old has earned 42 senior caps for Wales, scoring seven goals.
