Burnley’s Hannibal Mejbri Charged by FA Over Alleged Spitting Incident Involving Leeds Fans

Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association (FA) for allegedly spitting toward Leeds United supporters during Burnley’s 2-0 Premier League victory at Turf Moor in October.
According to the FA, the alleged incident occurred around the 67th minute of the match. Mejbri, who entered as a substitute in the 83rd minute, is accused of breaching the Laws of the Game by acting “in an improper manner” and using “abusive and/or indecent behaviour” through spitting at, or in the direction of, opposition fans.
The 22-year-old Tunisia international, who joined Burnley from Manchester United last year, has until November 28 to respond to the charge.
Currently sitting 17th in the Premier League table with 10 points from 11 matches, Burnley will host third-placed Chelsea on November 22 following the international break.
