Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri suspended for four matches after spitting at Leeds Fans

Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has been handed a four-match ban after admitting to spitting towards Leeds United supporters during a Premier League match in October, the Football Association (FA) confirmed on Friday.
The Tunisia international was referred to an independent regulatory commission after spitting in the direction of visiting Leeds fans around the 67th minute, during Burnley’s 2-0 victory.
“Hannibal Mejbri subsequently admitted the charge, and the regulatory commission imposed a four-match suspension,” the FA said in a statement.
In addition to the ban, Mejbri was fined £15,000 ($20,000).
Burnley, who are 19th in the Premier League, have lost five consecutive matches and will face 12th-placed Newcastle United on Saturday.
