Kalkara United sealed their promotion to the National Amateur League I in spectacular fashion, dismantling Santa Venera Lightnings 7-0 at the Charles Abela Stadium.

The match was effectively over within the first half-hour. Miguel Perez Jimenez ignited the rout with goals in the 5th and 9th minutes, followed by a third from Ryan Dalli on 23 minutes. Perez Jimenez completed his hat-trick at the 30-minute mark, while Josmar Sammut added a fifth before the break. Dalli then mirrored the feat in the second half, converting a 78th-minute penalty and adding his third in the 90th minute.

  • Dingli Swallows claimed bragging rights in the derby, beating Rabat Ajax 4-1Ronaldinho Daley scored just 30 seconds after kick-off, with Jurgen Gerada doubling the lead on 18 minutes. Although Rabat’s Sean Abela pulled one back, Daley struck twice more in the second half—including a penalty—to secure the win.
  • Msida St. Joseph kept pace at the top with a 2-0 win over Gharghur, courtesy of a 62nd-minute own goal and a strike by Yessous Camilleri.
  • Ta’ Xbiex staged a second-half comeback to defeat Marsaskala 3-1. After trailing to a Federico Galea penalty, a brace from Vitor Alves and a goal by Nathan Belhadj turned the game around.
  • Mdina Knights dominated Siggiewi with a 7-1 victory. Giovanni Galea netted a hat-trick, supported by goals from Jamie Lee MicallefIvan BojovicLuke Formosa, and Aaron Sammut SteerJuan Artiaga scored the lone consolation for Siggiewi.
  • St. George’s wrapped up the action on Monday at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, defeating Ghaxaq 2-0 with goals from Jaden Camilleri and Aaron Agius.

League Standings:
Kalkara United sit comfortably at the top with 49 points, followed by Dingli (37), Msida (36), Mdina (35), and Ta’ Xbiex (34). Further down, Siggiewi hold 26 points, ahead of St. George’s (24), Rabat (22), Marsaskala (13), and Gharghur, Ghaxaq (11), and Santa Venera (7).
