Birkirkara and Mġarr United will contest the Assikura Women’s Knockout final after both sides delivered emphatic semi-final victories, setting up a highly anticipated clash this Friday.

Stripes Ruthless Against Valletta

Valletta 0-5 Birkirkara
(Cassar 14; Ueda 37, 89; Gauci 55; Monteiro 62)

Birkirkara produced a dominant performance to dismantle Valletta with a 5-0 victory. Gloria Cassar set the tone early, opening the scoring in the 14th minute. Japanese forward Momo Ueda doubled the advantage before the interval and remained a constant threat throughout, eventually bookending the scoring with a second strike in the final minute of regulation.

In the second half, the Stripes showed no signs of slowing down. Maia Gauci extended the lead shortly after the restart, and Kleydiana Monteiro added a fourth just past the hour mark. Despite a flurry of substitutions, Valletta struggled to contain Birkirkara’s fluid attacking play, leaving the holders in prime form heading into the final.

Mġarr Stay on Course for Treble

Hibernians 1-5 Mġarr United
(Vella Barberi 75; N’Guessan 16, 23; Carella 38; Debono 45; Camilleri 57)

Mġarr United continued their historic campaign with an equally impressive win over Hibernians. The star of the show was Josline N’Guessan, whose clinical brace inside the first 23 minutes gave Mġarr total control.

The league champions put the game to bed before half-time through goals from Yulya Carella and Maia Debono. Captain Abigail Camilleri added a fifth in the 57th minute to emphasize their superiority. While Hibernians managed a consolation goal through Sarah Vella Barberi in the 75th minute, it did little to dampen the celebrations for Mġarr. Having already secured an unbeaten league title and the Jubilee Cup, Mġarr remain firmly on track for a remarkable domestic treble.
