Bayer Leverkusen will be without first-choice goalkeeper Mark Flekken and forward Nathan Tella for several weeks following injuries sustained in Saturday’s 1-0 Bundesliga defeat to Hoffenheim, the club confirmed on Sunday.

Flekken, the Dutch international, suffered a knee ligament injury, while Nigeria international Tella, who came on as a substitute, picked up a foot injury.

“Both players will not be available for a longer period of time,” Leverkusen said in a statement.

The Bundesliga side, currently sixth in the league standings, will be aiming to regroup ahead of their Champions League clash against Olympiacos on Tuesday.
