Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski sidelined with torn thigh muscle

Lewandowski Suffers Thigh Injury, Doubtful for El Clásico
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has sustained a torn thigh muscle, the club confirmed on Tuesday. The 37-year-old Poland captain suffered the injury in the biceps femoris of his left leg, though he completed 90 minutes and scored in Poland’s 2–0 World Cup qualifying win over Lithuania on Sunday.
Barcelona stated that his recovery time will depend on how the injury evolves, but Spanish media suggest he could be sidelined for four to six weeks — potentially ruling him out of the LaLiga Clásico against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 26.
Lewandowski joins a lengthening injury list for coach Hansi Flick, which includes Raphinha, Gavi, Dani Olmo, and Marc-André ter Stegen, who is still recovering from back surgery.
However, Lamine Yamal and Fermín López could return to action after the international break, providing some relief for the Catalan side.
