Atalanta have announced the appointment of Raffaele Palladino as their new manager on a deal running until June 2027, just a day after parting ways with Ivan Juric.

Juric’s dismissal came in the wake of a 3-0 home defeat to Sassuolo, which extended the team’s winless streak to seven Serie A matches. The poor run has left Atalanta sitting 13th in the table after 11 games, with only two league victories and an 11-point gap to leaders Inter Milan.

“Raffaele Palladino has signed with the Nerazzurri club on a contract until 30 June 2027,” read an official statement from Atalanta.

The 41-year-old Palladino began his coaching journey at Monza, initially managing the youth side before taking over the senior team in 2022. During his two seasons in charge, he guided Monza to respectable 11th and 12th-place finishes before departing in June 2024.

He then joined Fiorentina, where he led the club to a sixth-place finish and secured qualification for the UEFA Conference League. Despite overseeing Fiorentina’s best league campaign since 2016, his tenure ended by mutual consent at the close of the season, just weeks after signing a contract extension.

Palladino’s first match at the helm of Atalanta will come after the international break, when his side face fourth-placed Napoli on November 22.
