Arda Güler says he and Real Madrid star Mbappé are “made for each other”

After struggling for opportunities under former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, Turkish midfielder Arda Güler has become a key figure in Xabi Alonso’s new-look side.

Speaking to L’Équipe, Güler expressed his trust in the Spanish manager’s vision:

“I have complete faith in Xabi Alonso’s plans. If one day he tells me to play in goal, I’ll buy gloves!”

The 20-year-old has been in outstanding form this season, thriving under Alonso’s guidance and becoming an essential part of Real’s attacking rhythm.

Güler also discussed his growing on-field connection with French superstar Kylian Mbappé, highlighting their natural understanding:

“Mbappé’s qualities and mine are made for each other.
We understand each other really well; everything just flows. Sometimes we talk before matches — ‘Today we should do this, that.’ And there are nights when just a look is enough.”

Güler’s confidence and chemistry with Mbappé are fast becoming one of the most exciting storylines of Real Madrid’s season.
