The Maltese BMX Association has once again delivered a highly successful edition of the BMX Xmas International Fest 2025, held at the Indoor Warehouse in Pembroke. The event brought together local and international BMX athletes of all ages and skill levels, providing spectators with an exciting showcase of top BMX talent through a series of competitive races and freestyle performances.

The competition featured multiple categories, each highlighting exceptional skill and determination. Craig Debono claimed victory in the Beginners Group, followed by Simon Vella in second place and Jim Bajada in third. In Group B, Chalane Catania emerged victorious, with Jashua Bonnet finishing second. The highly competitive Group A (Pro Category) was won by Italian rider Alessandro Barberro, with Jan Boroza of the Czech Republic securing second place and Maltese rider Gianni Zahra finishing third.

Freestyle performances also took centre stage, with David Ungr from the Czech Republic earning the Best Trick Award. The prestigious Alfred Abela Trophy, recognising the most improved athletes and their consistent attendance throughout the season, was jointly awarded to Brody Pace and Craig Debono.

The event attracted a large and enthusiastic crowd, contributing to an electric atmosphere throughout the day. During the awards ceremony, presided over by Dr. Kaylon Zammit, Mayor of Pembroke, alongside Gabriel Ferris and John Zammit, President and Founder of the Maltese BMX Association, special thanks were extended to the dedicated volunteers whose hard work was instrumental to the event’s success.

Gratitude was also expressed to all sponsors who supported the event and participated in the awards presentation, as well as to the Maltese Olympic Committee, Sport Malta, Visit Malta, and other entities whose collaboration helped elevate the festival to an international standard.

The Maltese BMX Association extends its heartfelt thanks to all participants, supporters, and volunteers who made this event a true celebration of talent, passion, and community spirit.
