Sliema Wanderers have officially announced the departure of Noel “Guy” Turner, bringing to an end his latest six-year tenure with the Blues. A name synonymous with the club, Turner’s exit marks the conclusion of a chapter defined by unparalleled leadership, loyalty, and commitment.

Noel is much more than just a former player; he is the absolute definition of a “Clubman”. Having spent his entire professional playing career at Sliema Wanderers—winning four league titles and appearing 348 times—he returned to serve the club in various critical roles. Over the last six seasons, he has been a pillar of the technical setup, most recently serving as Assistant Coach and Technical Director for the Youth Academy.

Noel’s work ethic, whether as a record-breaking captain or mentor, has set the standard for everyone at Sliema Wanderers. While the club is saddened to see him go, they respect his desire for a new challenge. He leaves on excellent terms, his legacy as a Sliema icon firmly secured.
