Opening Round league leaders Floriana FC have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the second part of the season with the addition of new foreign reinforcements, as they look to maintain their strong push for domestic honours.

Among the latest arrivals is 25-year-old Bosnian forward Kenan Dervišagić, who will be experiencing Maltese football for the first time. The attacker joins the Greens following a recent spell in the Kyrgyz Premier League, the top division in Kyrgyzstan, where he featured for FC Bishkek City.

During his time in Central Asia, Dervišagić made 13 league appearances and found the net on five occasions, underlining his reputation as a consistent goal threat. His performances there followed several seasons in his homeland, where he accumulated more than 70 appearances in the Prva Liga FBiH, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s second tier.

A former Bosnia and Herzegovina Under-17 international, Dervišagić spent the bulk of his domestic career with FK Sloboda Tuzla, scoring six goals in 50 matches and gaining valuable experience at senior level.

Highly regarded for his flexibility in attack, Dervišagić is capable of leading the line as a central striker or operating effectively on either wing. His versatility is expected to provide Floriana with additional tactical options as they prepare for the challenges of the second half of the campaign.

The signing reflects Floriana’s clear intent to consolidate their position at the top of the standings and build a squad capable of sustaining a title challenge through to the end of the season.
