St Lawrence Spurs FC and Zebbug Rovers FC both picked up valuable victories on Matchday 6 of the GFA BOV Gozo Football League Second Division, with two entertaining encounters played on Saturday at the Kercem Stadium.

St Lawrence Spurs continued their positive momentum with a deserved 3–1 win over Munxar Falcons. The Spurs took early control of the contest through Felipe Augusto De Oliveira, who opened the scoring after 16 minutes before doubling the advantage shortly after the hour mark. Munxar Falcons attempted to claw their way back into the match when Luke Meilak pulled one goal back on 76 minutes, but St Lawrence ensured the points in the closing stages as Gabriel Debrincat struck in the 89th minute. The match was officiated by referee Mark Azzopardi.

In the day’s other Second Division fixture, Zebbug Rovers claimed a convincing 3–1 victory over Gharb Rangers. Zebbug made a dream start as Ismael Belhadj found the net inside the opening ten minutes. Gharb responded well and restored parity on 36 minutes through Gean Dias Nascimento De Freitas, sending the sides into the break level. However, Zebbug showed greater composure in the closing stages, regaining the lead on 83 minutes through Jake Sacco before Haraan Hajazan Goncalves Barbosa added a third goal three minutes later to seal the result. Referee Steve Baldacchino was in charge of proceedings.

Gharb Rangers remain top of the table with 14 points from seven matches. They are followed by Sannat Lions FC and St Lawrence Spurs FC on 11 points, with Zebbug Rovers FC close behind on 10 points. Oratory Youths FC and Munxar Falcons FC complete the standings with four and two points respectively.
