BOV Amateur League II: Kalkara United march on

Kalkara United maintained their perfect record in the BOV Amateur League II after edging past Mdina Knights 1–0 in a closely contested encounter at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.
The decisive moment arrived fifteen minutes from time when Miguel Perez Jimenez found the net to secure all three points for Kalkara. The victory marked an eighth consecutive win for Bruno Menezes Pinheiro’s side, who continue to set the pace at the top of the standings.
In another match at the Sirens Stadium, Siggiewi prolonged their positive run with a 2–1 win over Marsaskala. Matthew Borg gave Siggiewi the lead on 24 minutes, before Roderick Taliana doubled the advantage from the penalty spot. Marsaskala reduced the deficit late on through Diego Zammit on 89 minutes, but Siggiewi held firm to claim the win.
Meanwhile, action at the Luxol Stadium saw Ta’ Xbiex and Msida St Joseph share the points in a goalless draw. In the day’s other fixture, Gharghur recorded a 2–1 victory over Ghaxaq, with goals from Owen Dalli on 18 minutes and Aaron Alfredo Doda on 41 minutes. Sheldon Vella scored a late consolation for Ghaxaq eight minutes from time.
Kalkara remain clear at the summit with 24 points, followed by Siggiewi on 15. Dingli Swallows are next on 14, with Msida St Joseph and Rabat Ajax level on 13. Ta’ Xbiex and Mdina Knights sit on 12 points, St George’s have 10, while Gharghur move to six points ahead of Marsaskala and Ghaxaq on five, and Sta Venera on three.
