Rodrygo tipped for Premier League transfer after losing spot at Real Madrid

Rodrygo is going through a challenging period at Real Madrid, and a move to England could be on the cards if he fails to turn his fortunes around soon.
The Brazilian forward has made 16 appearances this season but is still searching for his first goal. Many of these appearances have been brief, with Rodrygo starting only four matches.
He has struggled to establish himself under Xabi Alonso, and the likelihood of him seeking a new club is gradually increasing.
While reports have linked him to Chelsea and Arsenal, these claims appear unfounded for now, as neither club has him on their shortlist heading into the new year.
Sources suggest that if Rodrygo were to move to the Premier League, Manchester City would be the most likely destination, though Liverpool and Tottenham could also emerge as potential suitors.
For the moment, however, a January transfer seems unlikely. Spanish sources indicate it is more probable that Rodrygo will remain at Madrid for the rest of the season.
The forward remains determined to improve his situation, despite facing stiff competition from the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Franco Mastantuono, and Arda Guler. Real Madrid are also expected to recall Nico Paz, adding further competition for playing time.
Should he eventually leave, the Premier League is considered his most likely next step. The key question is which club will come calling.
Manchester City remains a genuine option. The club has monitored him over the past year and continues to consider a signing that could add fresh impetus to their attack. While they are also evaluating Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, Rodrygo could still feature in Pep Guardiola’s plans.
Tottenham, meanwhile, would welcome him as a marquee addition, demonstrating their ambition. Liverpool, though interested in assessing the situation, have yet to clarify their long-term attacking plans.
Rodrygo remains a high-profile talent spending too much time on the bench, but for now, a January move appears unlikely.
