Gharb Rangers continued their impressive start to the season, defeating Munxar Falcons 3–1 to move joint-top of the standings with a game in hand.
Brazilian forward Wesley Mateus Leal Barnaske was the star of the match, striking twice within the opening 22 minutes. His clinical finishing gave Gharb a comfortable early cushion and set the tone for the afternoon.
Munxar’s hopes took a further hit in the 76th minute when Kenny Hili added a third for Gharb, effectively sealing the victory. Things went from bad to worse for Munxar three minutes later as Emmanuel Galea was shown a straight red card, reducing the Falcons to ten men.
Despite the setback, Munxar managed a consolation goal deep into stoppage time through Geordie Debono (90+2’), but it did little to change the outcome as Gharb claimed a well-deserved three points.

Matchday 5 offered a spectacular contest packed with goals, drama, and a red card, as Oratory Youths stunned leaders Sannat Lions in a thrilling 5–3 victory to collect their first league win of the campaign.
Oratory got off to a flying start, racing into a 3–0 lead by the half-hour mark thanks to goals from Charlton Saliba, a penalty converted by Aroldo “Aroldinho” Da Silva Arruda, and a composed finish by Neil Said.
However, the match took a dramatic turn moments before halftime when Neil Said—already on the scoresheet—was shown a red card in the 45th minute, forcing Oratory to play the entire second half with 10 men.
Sannat quickly capitalised after the restart, with Tristan Grech and Paul Said scoring in quick succession to cut the deficit to 3–2. The Lions pushed hard for an equaliser, but Oratory showed immense resilience.
Their efforts were rewarded in the 75th minute when Jamie Xerri restored a two-goal cushion. Yet Sannat refused to back down, and Igor Nedeljkovic struck in the 87th minute to set up a tense finale.
In the dying moments, Oratory secured the win when Aroldinho struck again deep into added time (90+4’) to complete his brace and end an unforgettable match at 5–3.
