NFL Roundup: Packers edge divisional rival, Cowboys secure home win

Packers edge Lions with Jordan Love heroics
Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love threw four touchdown passes—including two on fourth down—to lead the Packers to a 31-24 victory over the Detroit Lions on Thursday.
Love, who tied his career-high for touchdown passes, sealed the win with a fourth-down connection to Dontayvion Wicks with 1:55 remaining. Earlier, he had connected with Wicks for a first-quarter fourth-down touchdown and Romeo Doubs for another before halftime. After the break, Love hit Christian Watson for a 51-yard score before finding Wicks again for a one-yard touchdown.
He finished the game 18 of 30 for 234 yards with no interceptions, helping Green Bay improve to 8-3-1, second in the NFC North behind the 8-3 Chicago Bears.
“To be able to go out there on fourth down and execute, make some big-time plays—that’s the difference in that game,” Love said.
Detroit twice failed on fourth-down attempts and settled for a late field goal after Green Bay’s Micah Parsons sacked quarterback Jared Goff on third down. Goff threw for 256 yards and two touchdowns, with David Montgomery adding a rushing score. The Lions, missing three starters and losing Amon-Ra St. Brown to an early ankle injury, dropped to 7-5 and now trail in the NFC North.
Cowboys hold off Chiefs to strengthen playoff bid
Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns as the Cowboys overcame the Kansas City Chiefs 31-28, extending their winning streak to three games.
The Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes’ four touchdown passes, twice scored on fourth down but could not secure a win. CeeDee Lamb caught seven passes for 112 yards and scored Dallas’ first touchdown, while Javonte Williams and Malik Davis also added touchdowns on the ground and through the air.
After falling behind 14-17, Dallas took control with a Prescott touchdown to Williams and a two-point conversion. Brandon Aubrey’s field goal extended the lead to 31-21 before the Chiefs scored late, but Dallas ran out the clock to secure the win.
The victory improved Dallas to 6-5-1, second in the NFC East behind the 8-3 Eagles, while Kansas City fell to 6-6, now outside the playoff picture.
“We know we’ve got a big one coming next week, and this gives us more confidence,” Prescott said, looking ahead to the matchup with Detroit.
Bengals snap Ravens’ streak with Burrow back
Joe Burrow returned from a nine-game injury absence to lead Cincinnati to a 32-14 win over Baltimore, ending the Ravens’ five-game winning streak.
Burrow threw two second-half touchdown passes, while the Bengals capitalized on five turnovers, including an interception and two fumbles by Lamar Jackson, who has now gone three games without a touchdown pass.
Cincinnati, previously 1-8 without Burrow, remained third in the AFC North at 4-8, while Baltimore dropped to 6-6, just behind the 6-5 Pittsburgh Steelers.
