AC Milan missed the chance to move top of the Serie A table after surrendering a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw away to Parma, though the result did extend the Rossoneri’s unbeaten run to 11 matches in all competitions.

Milan, who had opened the scoring in seven of their previous ten league outings, made another quick start as Christopher Nkunku picked out Alexis Saelemaekers on the edge of the box. The Belgian fired a precise strike into the bottom corner to give the visitors an early advantage after just 12 minutes.

Parma thought they had drawn level soon after through former Milan striker Patrick Cutrone, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside. That reprieve seemed to lift Milan, and they soon doubled their lead from the penalty spot after Abdoulaye Ndiaye brought down an opponent inside the area. Rafael Leão stepped up and confidently converted from 12 yards, sending Zion Suzuki the wrong way.

Despite the setback, Parma refused to fold. Mike Maignan produced a fine save to deny Lautaro Valenti’s header, but the hosts finally broke their scoring drought just before halftime. Sascha Britschgi found Adrián Bernabé, who curled a stunning effort into the top corner from the edge of the box to make it 2-1 at the break.

The goal sparked life into the home side, and Parma carried that momentum into the second half. Bernabé went close again with a curling shot over the bar before the equaliser arrived just after the hour mark. Britschgi turned provider once more, whipping in a perfect cross for Enrico Del Prato to nod past the onrushing Maignan.

Milan had chances to reclaim the lead late on — Rafael Leão slipped Christian Pulisic through on goal, but the American dragged his effort wide with only Suzuki to beat. The visitors continued to push, with Mateo Pellegrino striking the woodwork for Parma and Saelemaekers squandering a golden opportunity after rounding the goalkeeper.

The match ended level, leaving Parma still without a win in four Serie A games but buoyed by their spirited comeback. Milan, meanwhile, will feel frustrated to have let victory slip away, though they remain comfortably inside the top four heading into the November international break, extending their unbeaten away run in the league to five matches.
