Tottenham Eye Move for Rodrygo Amid Uncertainty Over Real Madrid Future

Tottenham Hotspur would be open to exploring a move for Rodrygo should the Real Madrid forward be made available to Premier League clubs in January.
The Brazilian was linked with Spurs during the summer, though sources close to the club insist that no formal approach or discussions ever took place at that time.
Rodrygo has continued to find regular minutes hard to come by at Madrid, and there is growing speculation that he could be made available when the transfer window reopens.
At present, Tottenham are finalising their list of January transfer targets, with the aim of identifying key options before the end of the month. The club have already assessed several potential attacking additions, including Savinho and Ademola Lookman, who were both on their radar during the summer.
While Rodrygo is not believed to be among Spurs’ primary targets, club sources suggest they would be ready to act if informed that the 23-year-old is open to a Premier League move. Tottenham are determined to focus their efforts on realistic opportunities and are wary of pursuing players who are effectively unattainable. However, Rodrygo is viewed as a “special case” — one they would seriously consider if circumstances align.
The Brazilian international has endured a frustrating campaign so far, making only two starts in La Liga and one in the Champions League. Xabi Alonso has reportedly shown greater faith in younger talents such as Arda Güler and Franco Mastantuono, leaving Rodrygo further down the pecking order.
His lack of playing time has fuelled speculation about a possible exit, with Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool all previously showing interest to varying degrees.
Should Rodrygo decide to seek a fresh challenge in the Premier League, sources indicate that Tottenham would be prepared to position themselves for a potential move.
