Santa Venera triumph in Bocci Charity Cup Final
Santa Venera claimed the Charity Cup for the Second and Third Division of the Federation of Bocci Clubs after defeating Senglea Bocci Club in a tightly contested final played at the Ħal Qormi San Ġorġ pitch.
In front of a large crowd, Senglea won the opening game 11–6, but Santa Venera responded strongly in the second encounter with an 11–7 victory. In the decisive third game, Santa Venera prevailed 5–2 to secure enough points for the overall win.
Santa Venera were represented by Carl Calleja, Kyle Pace, Victor Zahra, Ivan Cortis, Saviour Cassar, and Etienne Vella, while Senglea fielded Dylan Abela, Jesmond Desira, Charles Cassar, Omar Callus, Marvin Pavia, and James Mamo.
The match referee was Redeemer Azzopardi, and at the end of the final, Federation President CJ Saliba presented the trophy to Santa Venera captain Carl Calleja.
