Kalkara United registered a third win in the BOV Amateur League II as they defeated Ta’ Xbiex 1-0 at the Charles Abela Stadium on Sunday.

Miguel Perez Jimenez scored the all-important goal two minutes from time. 

Dingli Swallows scored twice in the second half to beat Siggiewi 2-0 at the Sirens Stadium thanks to Mark Cutajar on 62 minutes and Ronaldinho Daley three minutes later. 

Goals by Victor Ifeanyi Mbata on 9 minutes and Larens Vella on 41 minutes handed Rabat Ajax a 2-0 win over Gharghur at the Charles Abela Stadium.

In a match at the Sirens Stadium, St. George’s defeated Sta. Venera Lightnings 3-1. Kenneth Aquilina scored twice on 22 and 24 minutes and Ryan Dalli made it 3-0 on 26 minutes. Andres Martinez pulled one back on 56 minutes for the Lightnings.

Mdina Knights were held in a 1-1 draw by Ghaxaq at the Sirens Stadium. Jamie Lee Micallef put Mdina ahead on 54 minutes but Aaron Agius converted a penalty for Ghaxaq six minutes from time.

Marsaskala, and Msida St. Joseph shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at the Centenary Stadium. Dale Mifsud put Msida ahead on 7 minutes but Federico Galea equalised on 41 minutes and two minutes later, Leon El Yeferni made it 2-1 for Marsaskala. However Dale Mifsud notched the equaliser four minutes in added time.

Kalkara lead the way with 9 points, followed by Dingli on 7, St. George’s and Rabat 6, Mdina and Msida 5, Ta’ Xbiex 4, Sta. Venera and Siggiewi 3, Ghaxaq and Marsaskala 1 and Gharghur 0.
