Ħamrun 147 A Reach Premier League Blackball Final After Stunning Comeback

Ħamrun 147 A booked their place in the Premier League Blackball final after producing an impressive comeback to eliminate Qormi Pinto A with a 21-18 aggregate victory in the semi-finals.
Having trailed 12-8 following the first leg, the Ħamrun side overturned the deficit with a strong performance in the return match to secure their place in the championship decider. They will now face Cospicua Rangers A in the final, scheduled for Friday, 19 June.
In the Challenger League, two highly anticipated semi-finals are set to take place. Qormi Pinto B will meet San Ġwann Tiki Taka Spartans, while Ħamrun 147 B will go head-to-head with San Ġwann Tiki Taka Boys for a place in the final.
The Regional League has already produced its first finalist, with Birkirkara Youngsters defeating Żebbuġ St Joseph A by a 21-16 aggregate score. They will now await the winners of the remaining semi-final between Ħamrun 147 C and Selmun Sports Club A, which is scheduled for next week.
The Community League semi-finals will see PL Floriana take on San Ġwann Tiki Taka Buddies, while Ħamrun 147 D will face Cospicua Rangers B in the other last-four encounter.
Meanwhile, the Amateur League quarter-finals produced two closely contested matches. Birżebbuġa St Peter’s B overcame Siġġiewi Montekristo B 11-7, while Ħamrun 1889 Bar edged Selmun Sport B 11-9 to advance.
The Amateur League semi-finals, to be played next Monday, will feature Birkirkara Juve against Birżebbuġa St Peter’s B, while Birkirkara Boċċi will meet Ħamrun 1889 Bar for the remaining place in the final.
