Ruud Critien and Moss Kiberu shine in the Scratch Challenge Golf Tournament

More than 100 golfers took part in the Scratch Challenge competition sponsored by Interni Italia, held over two days at the Royal Malta Golf Club. The event included both a scratch competition and a net competition for the Kinard Trophy.
After the opening day, Noah Gratil led the scratch standings with a score of 67 gross, one shot ahead of Andy Borg who carded a 68 gross. In the net competition, Moses Kiberu was leading with a 62 net, followed closely by Alex Lemire on 63 net.
The second day began in difficult rainy conditions, but Ruud Critien showed great patience and experience. A superb back nine of four under par, including a birdie on the final hole, enabled him to win the scratch competition with a combined two-day gross score of 138, narrowly ahead of Andy Borg. Andrew Featherstone finished in third place.
In the net competition, 10-year-old Moss Kiberu impressed everyone by producing another 62 net on the second day to claim the trophy with a total of 132 net. Alex Lemire and Moses Kiberu finished just behind on 133 net.
