Qormi FC lift the BOV Amateur Cup after thrilling final against Victoria Hotspurs

Qormi FC were crowned winners of the BOV Amateur Cup after overcoming Victoria Hotspurs 4-0 in an exciting final that brought together two of the most consistent teams in the competition.
The match lived up to expectations, with both sides displaying determination and quality throughout. Victoria Hotspurs entered the final on the back of a successful season that saw them secure promotion to the BOV Challenge League, while Qormi FC had also impressed, finishing third in the league standings and demonstrating strong form throughout the campaign.
Qormi FC ultimately proved decisive on the day, turning a closely contested first half into a commanding victory. After an evenly balanced opening period, Qormi broke the deadlock in the 41st minute through Emerson Vella, heading into the interval with a narrow 1–0 lead.
The second half saw Qormi emerge with renewed intensity, effectively putting the game beyond reach within minutes. Emmanuel David Garba struck twice in quick succession on the 69th and 71st minutes, extending the advantage to 3–0. Substitute Ayrton Azzopardi then added further gloss to the scoreline with an 87th-minute goal, sealing an emphatic win for Qormi.

At the end of the match, the trophy presentation ceremony was led by Ernest Agius, Chief Operations Officer at Bank of Valletta, and Adrian Casha, Vice President of the Malta Football Association, who awarded the BOV Amateur Cup to the Qormi FC captain amidst jubilant celebrations.
