Qormi Daikin secure convincing win over Floriana Young Stars
Qormi Daikin registered another victory in the National Hockey Championship, just days before being crowned champions, as they defeated Floriana Young Stars 4-1.
Qormi made a strong start and established a 2-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. They controlled the game throughout the following three quarters, with the Greens only managing to reduce the deficit in the final quarter.
Juan Sarcia scored a brace, while Kyle Micallef and Luke Bajada added another goal each for their side.
Floriana’s only goal was scored by Karl Chircop.
The match umpires were Silvio Peralta and David Agius.
