Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus and Zero Sei have seized the advantage in the Enemed Women’s Futsal League semi-finals, both securing vital first-leg victories this week.

Luxol Edge Out St George’s

In a tightly contested battle, Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus defeated St George’s 3–1. Jasmine Vella Turner was the standout performer, opening the scoring for Luxol before Shania Spiteri drew St George’s level. Vella Turner struck again to restore the lead, with Ruth Steer Cheetham firing home a third to consolidate the win. The two sides are set to meet for the decisive second leg on Wednesday.

Zero Sei Outpower Swieqi United

In the other semi-final bracket, Zero Sei put on an attacking masterclass to overcome Swieqi United Futsal with a 6–3 victory. The charge was led by Vanessa Carneiro, who netted a brilliant hat-trick, supported by a brace from Rocio Robles and a goal by Nicole Espinosa. Despite a double from Juciela Vale and a strike by Carolina Mendosa for Swieqi, Zero Sei’s clinical finishing proved the difference. Their return fixture is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14.

Both victors now head into their respective return legs with a significant cushion as they eye a place in the Enemed Women’s Futsal League final
