Perfect start for Malta’s Blackball Teams

A perfect start for the Maltese teams at the 2026 Nations Cup currently being held in Gibraltar. On the opening day, all the men’s teams registered victories, collecting their first important points in the standings.
The Men’s A team secured a strong 19–6 win over Catalonia, followed by a hard-fought 13–12 victory against Spain A. Meanwhile, the Men’s B team defeated Mauritius B 16–9, and went on to overcome Gibraltar B1 and B2 with scores of 14–11 and 20–5 respectively.

The Under-23 team also impressed with a convincing 19–6 win over Wales B1. Positive results continued in the seniors category, with identical 19–6 victories against South Africa A and Belgium A.
In the individual competition, there were several wins, with only one defeat recorded on the day:
