Chelsea FC and West Ham United FC fined after mass confrontation following London derby

Chelsea FC and West Ham United FC have been fined £325,000 ($439,140) and £300,000, respectively, following a mass confrontation at the conclusion of their Premier League London derby last month, the Football Association announced on Wednesday.
Chelsea came from two goals down to secure a 3-2 victory over West Ham on January 31st, but the match ended in chaos, with nearly 20 players involved in a melee.
West Ham winger Adama Traoré threw Marc Cucurella to the ground before clashing with João Pedro, while other players rushed in to break up the fight.
West Ham defender Jean-Clair Todibo received a straight red card after a VAR review for grabbing Pedro by the throat.
The FA stated: “It was alleged that Chelsea FC failed to ensure its players didn’t behave in an improper and/or provocative way around the 95th minute. It was also alleged that West Ham United FC failed to ensure its players didn’t behave in an improper and/or provocative and/or violent way at this time.”
Both clubs admitted the charges, leading to the confirmed fines.
