Cardona shines as Saint-Étienne secure vital away win over Guingamp
AS Saint-Étienne strengthened their promotion push with an important 2–1 away victory over En Avant Guingamp, with Maltese international Irvin Cardona playing a decisive role.
Cardona was instrumental in the visitors’ success, providing the assist for the second goal scored by Zuriko Davitashvili, who netted a brace inside the opening 14 minutes. Davitashvili’s clinical finishing put Saint-Étienne firmly in control early in the match, giving them a crucial advantage on the road.
