Last-minute goal from Šeško keeps Man Utd unbeaten at West Ham but halts winning run

Benjamin Šeško’s dramatic stoppage-time equaliser rescued a 1-1 draw for Manchester United against West Ham United in the Premier League, halting the Hammers’ attempt at a fourth consecutive home victory over the Red Devils.
West Ham started brightly, buoyed by improved recent form. Jarrod Bowen’s header from a Crysencio Summerville cross went narrowly wide, and Summerville himself curled an effort that Senne Lammens tipped away.
Manchester United, meanwhile, posed threats from set-pieces. Harry Maguire headed over from a corner, and Luke Shaw’s strike from a low Bruno Fernandes delivery was cleared off the line by Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Clear-cut chances remained limited, with Axel Disasi blocking a Fernandes through ball destined for Casemiro and Diogo Dalot reaching a Wan-Bissaka cross ahead of Taty Castellanos. Dalot nearly endangered his own side with a misplayed pass, but Amad Diallo’s follow-up effort hit the side netting.
The deadlock was broken shortly after the restart. Tomas Soucek played Bowen through, then made a run into the box to guide his captain’s cross past Lammens, giving West Ham the lead.
United responded immediately, pressing for an equaliser. A potential leveller arrived in the 63rd minute when Casemiro headed Kobbie Mainoo’s cross home, but the effort was ruled offside. Bowen’s ambitious strike was deflected behind, and substitute Šeško tested Mads Hermansen from distance, while Bryan Mbeumo headed a Shaw cross wide.
West Ham continued to threaten late, with Soucek blocking Mbeumo’s curling attempt and Joshua Zirkzee narrowly missing a header.
However, the drama came in the sixth minute of stoppage time. Šeško met Mbeumo’s cross with a precise flick into the top corner, snatching a point for Manchester United. The result extended United’s unbeaten league run to nine games, keeping them fourth, though it ended a four-match winning streak.
West Ham, meanwhile, have lost just once in their last six matches across all competitions and remain two points behind Nottingham Forest, having played one extra game.
