Cospicua Rangers extend lead at the summit of National Blackball Championship
Cospicua Rangers have strengthened their hold on first place in the National Blackball Championship following a decisive 11–7 victory over Mriehel Billiard House. Previously separated by only a single point, the Bormla-based side displayed superior clinical finishing to claim three vital points while maintaining a match in hand over their rivals.
The Community League also saw intensive action across both its sections:
- Section A: PL Floriana currently leads the table with a narrow one-point margin over Cospicua Rangers B. Floriana secured back-to-back dominant wins, defeating Zebbug St Joseph B 11–3 and Birzebbuga St Peter’s B 11–2. Cospicua Rangers B remains in close pursuit after recording identical 11–4 victories against Mriehel Billiard House B and Siggiewi Montekristo C.
- Section B: Hamrun 147 D continues their flawless 2026 campaign, extending their perfect record to nine consecutive wins. Their recent performances include a comprehensive 12–0 shutout against Qormi Anici and an 11–6 success over Zebbug St Joseph C.
