Marsaskala Heat recorded an important 2–1 victory against Floriana Young Stars in the Hockey 7s competition. The team from the south of Malta had already established a two-goal lead by the end of the first two quarters, only allowing the Greens to reduce the deficit late in the match.

Xylon Cassar and Alessandro Piscopo were on the scoresheet for Marsaskala, while Faizan Durrani scored Floriana’s only goal.
