The Malta Sports Journalists Association (Malta SJA) has announced the ten semi-finalists in each category for the 66th edition of the Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali.

Following an evaluation process carried out by members of the Malta SJA Executive Committee, the semi-finalists are:


Sportsman of the Year

In the next phase, Malta SJA members will join the expert jury to vote and select the five finalists in each category. The finalists will be announced on Saturday 14 February 2026 at 10.00am, with the reveal broadcast live on TVMSport+.

The winners will then be unveiled during the Final Awards Ceremony on Saturday 28 February 2026, celebrating the achievements of Maltese athletes and teams during 2025.

During the final evening, the following additional honours will also be presented:

  • People’s Choice Award
  • Sport for Social Change Award
  • Hall of Fame
  • Fair Play Award (to be presented for the first time)
