Birkirkara AFC win the ISFA Street Football Tournament

Birkirkara AFC won the inaugural ISFA Street Football Tournament after defeating Eagles 2-1 in the final played at the 3-a-side pitch in Buġibba.
It was a closely contested match between the tournament’s two strongest teams, although Birkirkara appeared more determined to secure the title.
Chris Farrugia and Luke Urmani scored the goals for the winners, while Adam Yusuf pulled one back for Eagles.
Birkirkara AFC’s squad consisted of Chris Farrugia, Luke Urmani, Jake Borg, James Brincat Almeida and Nigel Zammit Schembri. Eagles were represented by Nero Udezi, Samuel Olagunade, Daniel Eindiamen and Adam Yusuf.
The match was overseen by Henry Adjei.
To reach the final, Eagles defeated Shooting Stars 4-2 in their semi-final, while Birkirkara overcame Blancos 4-1 in the other last-four encounter.
As a result of their triumph, Birkirkara AFC will represent Malta at the ISFA (International Street Football Association) World Cup, which will take place in the Netherlands between 2 and 7 September.
