Glenn Axiaq claimed the Malta Billiards and Snooker Association (MBSA) Third Division championship title on Wednesday night, defeating Anthony Zammit 4–2 in a high-stakes, entertaining final at the Malta Snooker Academy.

Both cueists put on a spectacular showcase for local snooker enthusiasts, trading frames in a tense battle. Axiaq ultimately found the crucial pots in the final frames to seal the victory and lift the trophy.

Runner-up Anthony Zammit earned high praise for his performance, capping off an excellent campaign where he consistently challenged the division’s top players.

Double Promotion Secured

Despite the final scoreline, the evening ended in celebration for both finalists. By reaching the championship match, both Glenn Axiaq and Anthony Zammit have officially secured promotion to the MBSA Second Division for the upcoming season.
