Għaxaq Maintain Perfect Record in the National Bocci Championship
As the ninth round of the First Division Bocci Championship was played, Għaxaq further strengthened their position at the top of the standings after a 21-15 victory over Buġibba, registering their ninth consecutive win of the season.
St. Peter’s Żabbar remained in second place following a 21-10 success against Santa Venera, while Msida secured an important away victory over Żejtun by a score of 21-15. Birkirkara defeated San Ġwann 21-6, Żurrieq proved too strong for Lija with a 21-5 win, while Qormi San Bastjan recorded a convincing 21-4 victory against Żebbuġ.
With just two matches remaining before the end of the first round, the battle at the lower end of the table is becoming increasingly competitive, with several teams separated by only a small points margin.
