Sirens clinch fifth consecutive BOV Women’s Winter League title

Sirens ASC have further cemented their dominance in Maltese water polo by securing their fifth consecutive BOV Women’s Winter League title. The victory underscores an era of sustained superiority for the club in domestic competition.
The St. Paul’s Bay side delivered a flawless campaign, once again setting the benchmark for the women’s game. Sirens finished at the top of the standings with a perfect, undefeated record. Throughout the tournament, the team successfully combined attacking firepower with defensive discipline to outclass their rivals across all fixtures. Their consistent, high-level performances saw them score freely while maintaining firm control at the back, highlighting a squad operating at a level unmatched by the competition.
This latest triumph confirms Sirens’ complete dominance of the Women’s Winter League. The team has won every single edition of the tournament since its introduction, establishing an unrivalled five-year reign spanning from 2022 to 2026. Club officials noted that this sustained success reflects both the quality and depth within the current squad, as well as a winning culture that continues to set them apart as the leading force in Maltese women’s aquatic sports.
Following their final match, the championship trophy was presented to the Sirens team by Ernest Agius, Chief Operations Officer at Bank of Valletta, and Stefan Abela, Community Relations Officer at Bank of Valletta. They were joined by Karl Izzo, President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta, to recognize the team’s outstanding achievement.
